Protect your hair and skin from Sunlight

Summer hair and skin care.

With the prevailing summer it looks like sun is going to sit in the
sky not only the sky but also on top of our heads. In this
scorching heat one must stay well hydrated. Make sure you
don’t lose your cool. I must tell my readers that too much sun is
harmful as it damages our skin cells they UV rays get in direct
contact with the skin which actually is very harmful and
damages or kills our skin cells. You must avoid sunburns as
these can cause lot of damage to the skin also they tend to
remain for a longer time. To protect yourself against sun
damage one must avoid going out between 10am-4pm because
this is the time when the sun is strong and harmful. Avoid
wearing black in summers as it absorbs the sun rays.

Here are a list of things you can do in summers:


  • Select a good novel for yourself.
  • Make sure you don’t forget to apply sunscreen before you go out.
  • Eat lots of watermelon as it will help you to maintain your water level.
  • Other fruits are strawberries, apricot, pineapple, peach etc.
  • Indulge yourself in physical activities.
  • Regularly have lemon water to keep yourself hydrated.
  • Go for swimming.
  • Watch movies to entertain yourself.
  • Spend good time with your family.
  • Most importantly don’t forget to take care of your skin.


Summer is a time where one get most tanned that’s why it
is really important to take care of you skin. Make sure your
skin stays hydrated. A hydrated skin will always glow. To
avoid tan regularly scrub your face twice in a week.

Avoid chemical scrubs and try natural scrubs like:



  • Mix tomato juice with 1-2 tbsp. of rice flour and add half lemon.
  • Coffee scrub: take 2 tbsp. of any coffee add 1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tbsp. of sugar.





To avoid tan you can try:



  • Take 2-3 tbsp. of besan
  • Add 1 tbsp. of curd
  • Add half lemon (source of vitamin C)
  • Add a pinch of turmeric (it helps in glowing the skin)
  • Apply the paste on your face and leave it for 20-25
  • minutes.
  • After that rinse your face with cold water.
  • You can try this pack twice or thrice in a week for better results.
